Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450 Summary

Introducing the latest possible warrior in the sub-500cc category - the Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450. A true retro-modern motorcycle, it carries traces of naked street motorcycles but has a significantly muscular and aggressive road presence, thus not being anything close to the traditional roadsters. It is really affordable at Rs 2.39 lakh - Rs 2.54 lakh (ex-showroom) and delivers a thrilling riding experience without burning a hole in one's pocket.

Variants and Color Options

This bike is offered in three different variants i.e. Guerrilla 450 Analogue, Guerrilla 450 Dash, and Guerrilla 450 Flash and each variant is tailored to suit different rider tastes. The Analogue variant will resonate with die-hards since it features traditional dial-style instrumentation, while the Dash version offers contemporary features with a better technology-centric display. The Flash model, as the most premium, is equipped with better design signs and special features, making it the highest-quality variant in the lineup. Moreover, the bike comes in six bold colours i.e. Yellow Ribbon, Brava Blue, Peix Bronze, Playa Black, Gold Dip, and Smoke, so riders can pick a color that suits their personality.

Engine & Performance

The Guerrilla 450 has at its core a 452cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder BS6 engine that produces 39.50 bhp at 8,000 rpm and 40 Nm of torque at 5,500 rpm. Equipped with a steel tubular chassis, this motor is supported by a six-speed transmission, transmitting smooth power into various riding contexts. Two riding modes are offered to the user: Eco mode, maximizing efficiency, and Performance mode for unleashing the bike's peak performance for pure thrill. Based on a tubular steel structure, the engine also serves as a stressed element, providing high rigidity for the bike for better handling.

Chassis & Suspension

On the suspension and handling front, the Guerrilla 450 is well up to coping with both urban roads and off-road terrain. Up front, there's a 43mm telescopic fork, and the rear suspension has a preload-adjustable monoshock, giving a smooth and stable ride. The bike is shod on 17-inch alloy wheels with a 120-section front tyre and a 160-section rear tyre, the widest rear tyre in its class giving improved road grip and stability.

Braking & Safety

Braking responsibilities on the Guerrilla 450 are taken care of by a 310mm front disc with a dual-piston caliper and a 270mm rear disc with a single-piston caliper. The motorcycle also comes equipped with a dual-channel ABS system, providing better braking performance and increased safety under varying conditions of riding.

Design & Aesthetics

Massive strength, yet bomb-proof in practicality and easy to handle, is how one describes a 450cc naked street fighter barely out of skinny legs. With a kerb weight of 185kg and ground clearance of 169mm, it smoothly transfers from the city ride to the off-road excursion. The 11-liter tank strikes a compromise between performance and mileage, enabling long-distance riding without constantly stopping for refueling.

Features & Technology

Minimally designed but aggressive in styling, powered up and feature-rich-the Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450 makes for an attractive option for all those riders interested in sheer power, versatility, and individual expression. Whether flitting through market traffic or cruising down treacherous trails, this bike contains its own freedom, performance, and individuality, rightfully possessing an assured spot in the legendary Royal Enfield lineage.
