The Audi A4 is a luxury sedan that has been on our shores since 2008. It comes with a single 2-litre turbocharged petrol engine paired with a mild hybrid technology that improves mileage and torque. The Audi A4 offers a refined driving experience along with a host of features that improve the comfort, convenience and safety of the passengers.
The Audi A4 is driven by a single 2-litre petrol engine that delivers 204 PS and 320 Nm. This engine is paired with a 12V mild hybrid system, which improves fuel efficiency and torque figures. The Audi A4 is only available with a single transmission option, a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission (DCT). Audi has not revealed the official fuel efficiency figures of the A4.
The Audi A4 measures 4762mm in length, 1847mm in width, and 1433mm in height with a wheelbase of 2826mm. Key design elements of the Audi A4 include a massive grille, sleek headlights and LED DRLs, 17-inch alloy wheels and a dual exhaust system.
Being a premium model, the cabin of the Audi A4 is akin to a luxury suite. It comes with leather- and leatherette-wrapped seats. The cabin is offered in two colour choices: Okapi Brown or Atlas Beige. The layered dashboard comes in a black theme with piano black inlays.
In terms of features, the Audi A4 comes with a 10.1-inch touchscreen with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a 19-speaker Bang & Olufsen sound system, 3-zone auto AC, a wireless phone charger, a 12.3-inch digital driver's display, a sunroof, and electrically powered ORVMs with auto-dimming features.
The safety suite of the Audi A4 is populated by 8 airbags (as standard), a tyre pressure monitoring system, an auto-dimming IRVM, park assist, a rearview camera, hill hold assist and ISOFIX child seat anchors. It misses out on an advanced driver assistance system (ADAS).
The Audi A4 is offered in three variants and costs between Rs 46.99 lakh and Rs 55.84 lakh (ex-showroom, India)
All these variants are offered with the same powertrain but differ in the number of features. The top variant comes with the three-zone auto AC and wireless phone charger, which are not offered on the lower trims.
The Audi A4 has a top speed of 241 km/h with an acceleration of 0-100 km/h in 7.1 seconds. The power delivery is smooth, and so is the engine, with almost no vibration felt in the cabin. The suspension system of the Audi A4 is tuned in such a way that it allows a smooth ride over the bumps while also providing excellent handling at high speeds and with minimal body roll.
