Unlike most other Mercedes-Benz SUVs, this one is strictly a 5-seater. Perhaps that is also one of the main reasons the GLC has only two variants to offer i.e. the GLC 300 4MATIC and GLC 220d 4MATIC. As elegant and performing a luxury SUV can get, they have low-key vibrant colors like Nautic Blue, Mohave Silver, Graphite Grey, Polar White, Obsidian Black, and Hi-Tech Silver.
GLC carries 2-litre petrol and diesel engines, both of which have mild hybrid technology, mated to a 9-speed automatic transmission. The petrol engine produces 258 PS and 400 Nm, while the diesel engine gives 197 PS and 440 Nm. All models include 4MATIC AWD as standard; thus, they promise excellent grip and driving dynamics. The interior will be as modern with high technology as the outside with the luxurious finishes, in-built features such as an 11.9-inch portrait MBUX touchscreen infotainment system, a 12.3-inch digital driver display, and the latest NTG 7 infotainment system. Other features include a full glass sunroof, multi-zone climate control, cooled/heated powered front seats, and 64-color ambient lighting. The newly added 360-degree camera also includes the transparent bonnet feature for better clarity during necessary navigation. On the safety front, it has a tyre pressure monitoring system, and an ADAS which includes active brake assist, lane-keeping assist, blind spot assist, along with the option of active parking. The new Mercedes-Benz GLC is clearly defined by a seamless variant of luxury, technology, and safety that elevates the standard in the luxury SUV segment.
