VinFast, a Vietnamese company, has entered the Indian automotive industry with the launch of VF6. A 5-seater electric SUV, VF6 comes with a suite of features, multiple variants and a single battery pack.VF6 is one of the two new cars by VinFast in India, the second being its larger sibling, VF7.
VinFast VF6 features a 59.6 kWh battery pack with a claimed range of up to 468 km. The EV comes in two power configurations: 177 PS and 204 Nm, with a range of 468 km, and 204 PS and 310 Nm, with a slightly lower range of 463 km. It comes with four levels of regen braking, which allows one-pedal driving.
The design of VF6 sits between muscular and sporty. The major design features of the fascia include a chrome Vinfast logo, which is flanked by DRLs. The side profile gets blacked-out wheel arches, 18-inch dual-tone alloy wheels and a sloping roofline. The rear features a similar setup as the front with taillights and Vinfast's logo.
The cabin of the VF6 is minimalistic, so much so that it gets a single 12.9-inch screen and no digital drivers display. Base variant gets all the cluster information on the infotainment screen, while higher variants come with a heads-up display. VF6 gets a dual-tone theme, color of which depends on the variant.
The feature suite includes the above-mentioned infotainment screen, heads-up display on higher trims, 8-speaker sound system, ventilated front seats, air filter and dual zone auto AC. Safety features include Level 2 ADAS, 7 airbags, ABS, EBD, 360-degree camera and blind spot monitor.
The VF6 price ranges from Rs 16.49 lakh to Rs 18.29 lakh (ex-showroom, introductory). It comes in three variants, which are as follows:
