Honda Cars, Bikes & Scooters Prices After GST Rate Cut

Honda has announced that it will be passing the GST benefits to its customers for scooters, bikes and cars. The Japanese carmaker is also offering a discounted price on its car, effective immediately, for people who will take delivery after 22nd September 2025. Below are the estimated GST benefits of all Honda vehicles that will get cheaper due to the GST rate cut:

When scooters are considered, Dio 110 attracts a GST benefit of slightly more than Rs 7,100, and Activa 125 receives the highest GST cut of more than Rs 8,200.
Honda sells several bikes in India, most of which are powered by engines smaller than 350 cc. All these bikes will receive a price cut, with CB350 and CB350RS witnessing the highest benefit of nearly 18,900. The Japanese carmaker also sells cars above the 350 cc bracket, all of which are now taxed more under the new GST slab. You can read more about it here.
New GST Price For Honda Cars
Along with two-wheelers, Honda is also passing the benefit of the GST cut on cars to the customers. While the new GST slab will be effective from 22nd September 2025, Honda is offering the ability to book the car at discounted prices, instead of waiting. What is the new GST Slab?
The new GST slabs have simplified the service tax into three slabs, 5%, 18% and 40%. Compensation cess, which was applied on top of the GST, has been removed, and in its place, a 40% ‘Sin and luxury’ slab has been introduced.
While this has made all cars more affordable, in the case of two-wheelers, anything with an engine larger than 350cc will now attract 9% higher GST. Below are the tax slabs Honda vehicles will slot into:

Honda Bike And Scooter Tax Slabs
Honda bikes and scooters fit in the following slabs, which are not as complicated as cars. Any two-wheeler with an engine larger than 350 cc will now attract a higher 40% tax.

The new tax slabs are a welcome sight for the automotive sector, with sales dropping every year since COVID. Due to tax cuts and massive discounts, automobile sales are expected to see a big growth.
