Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara: Overview

Maruti Grand Vitara is offered with two engine options: a 1462 cc petrol engine and a 1490 cc petrol engine with a strong hybrid system. The petrol-only engine comes with a 4WD drivetrain on certain variants, while the strong hybrid is limited to 2WD.

The Grand Vitara’s feature suite includes a 9-inch touchscreen display with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, auto AC with rear vents, cruise control, auto folding ORVMs, an air filter and paddle shifters.

Safety is addressed with features such as 6 airbags (as standard), a 360-degree camera, ABS with EBD, ESP, hill hold assist and acoustic vehicle alert system (AVAS) for strong hybrid variants.

The Maruti Grand Vitara is over 4 meters long and has an engine size smaller than 1500 cc, which was previously taxed at 45% (GST + Cess). With GST 2.0 reforms, the compact SUV will be taxed at 40% resulting in the aforementioned price cut.
