Maruti Suzuki Ignis GST 2.0 Price Cut: Save Up To Rs 71,300

Maruti’s entry-level Nexa offering, Ignis, will become more affordable from 22nd September 2025. The hatchback will attract savings of up to Rs 71,300 amid new GST reforms, as Maruti has declared it will be passing on the GST benefits to customers. Maruti Suzuki Ignis: Brief Overview
The Maruti Ignis is powered by a 1.2-litre engine, which delivers 83 PS and 113 Nm. Ignis is one of those rare Maruti offerings that do not come with a CNG powertrain. Regardless, the petrol engine offers a decent mileage of 20.89 kmpl.
The feature list of the Ignis 7-inch touchscreen with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a 6-speaker system (4-speaker and 2 tweeters), automatic AC, powered ORVMs, remote keyless entry, steering-mounted audio controls and a height-adjustable driver seat.
Safety is taken care of with dual airbags, hill hold assist, electronic stability program, rear parking sensor and camera and rear defogger. Ignis is the only Nexa offering which does not come with 6 airbags as standard.
The Maruti Suzuki Ignis is categorised as a small petrol car, which attracted a 29% GST before the GST reforms. Under the new regime, Ignis and similarly sized cars will attract a flat 18% GST with no cess.
