Patanjali Electric Scooter: Price, Launch & Reality Check
Auto Updates | May 02, 2025 | Posted By: Kartik Rangam
If you are looking for an affordable electric scooter, you might have come across some articles claiming that Patanjali might be releasing an EV scooter at a low price of Rs 14,000. Not only that, some websites also state that the scooter will have a claimed range of over 440km and come with multiple features that can rival EV scooters, such as Chetak 3501, OLA S1 Pro and Aether 450 X.
Hoax Or Real?
Without wasting any of your time, it's fake. The price point alone makes it out to be just a rumour, which also wildly varies. The lowest price for the EV is stated to be Rs 14,000, going up to Rs 1.20 lakh. While the highest price point is believable, the features and powertrain that the electric scooter comes with are absurd for such a cost. A claimed range of over 400 km has not been seen on EV scooters yet, and such a figure can currently only be achieved on cars, with the most affordable electric car with a range of over 400 km being the Tata Curvv, which is priced at Rs 17.50 lakhs (ex-showroom India).
The final nail in the coffin for the rumors of the Patanjali Electric scooter is the absence of any official word from Patanjali.
Can It Launch?
With the trend and infrastructure in India moving towards more EV’s, Patanjali might enter the automobile industry with an EV scooter. If it does launch, one can expect it to be an affordable choice, costing around 1 lakh, with range and features that would make it a more lucrative choice against its rivals, such as Vida V2, Ola S1 X Gen 2 and Honda QC1.
