Renault has updated the variant-wise prices of Kiger following the GST revision. The downward price revision results in savings of nearly Rs 97,000 on the SUV. In this report, we cover the old and new variant-wise prices of the Renault Kiger, along with the price cut on each of them due to GST 2.0.

#Continuously Variable Transmission

The manual variants with NA engines are now affordable by nearly Rs 80,000.
AMT variants have seen price cuts of slightly over Rs 76,000.
CVT variants, which are limited to the turbo engine, see the highest savings of over Rs 96,000.
The Renault Kiger’s new price range is between Rs 5.76 lakh and Rs 10.33 lakh.

Renault Kiger: Summary

Renault Kiger is the carmaker's only model in India, which comes with a 1-litre turbo engine which delivers 100 PS and up to 160 Nm. The NA engine, on the other hand, delivers 72 PS and 96 Nm. While both engines are offered with MT, the NA engine comes with an AMT and the turbo a CVT.

The feature suite of Kiger consists of 7-inch digital drivers display, 8-inch infotainment with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, smart key, wireless phone charging, auto AC with rear vents, ventilated front seats, drive modes, and steering wheel with media control.

Safety is ensured with the help fo 6-airbags (as standard), traction control, tyre pressure monitoring system, reverse parking sensors, electronic stability program and ISOFIX child seat anchors.

The Kiger measures less than 4,000 mm and comes with engines with capacities smaller than 1,200 cc. As such the 5-seater is categorised as a small car which was taxed at 29% prior to the reforms. The Kiger now attracts a tax of 19%, resulting in the aforementioned price cut.
