Renault has updated the variant-wise prices of its lineup in accordance with the new GST revision. Similar to other carmakers, the French company announced that the GST benefits will be passed on to customers, resulting in price cuts. In this report, we cover the variant-wise price of the Renault Triber, which has seen a price cut of more than Rs 80,000.

Renault Triber New Variant-Wise GST Price:

• The top-end Emotion Dual Tone variant receives the highest price cut of slightly more than Rs 80,000.
• The manual variants are now affordable by up to Rs 75,695.
• The Triber now costs between Rs 5.76 lakh and Rs 8.59 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
• The price difference between monotone and dual-tone variants has been reduced by around Rs 3,000.

Renault Triber: Overview

Renault Triber is a 7-seater MPV which is powered by a 1-litre NA engine. This unit delivers 72 PS and 96 Nm and is mated to either a 5-speed MT or an automated transmission (AMT). The Triber also comes with a retrofitted CNG kit, the price of which can be enquired from a dealership near you.

The Triber’s cabin features a 7-inch digital driver display, an 8-inch infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a wireless phone charger, a 6-speaker sound system (4 speakers, 2 tweeters), cruise control, push-button start-stop, steering-mounted audio controls and auto-folding ORVMs.

Safety features consist of 6 airbags (as standard), traction control system, tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), hill start assist, rear camera with sensors and a rear defogger.

The Triber is categorised as a small car, which used to attract a 29% GST (including cess). This has now been revised to 18% hence the cost reduction.
