Tata Motors has announced that it will pass on the GST revision benefit to the customers. The downward price revision will come into effect from September 22, 2025 and is set to make all of Tata’s ICE models affordable. The affected models include Tiago, Altroz, Harrier and Safari. Below is a detailed breakdown of all the models in India that will receive a price cut.
Tata Cars GST Price Cut
| Model Name | Benefit |
| Curvv | Up to Rs 65,000 |
| Tiago | Up to Rs 75,000 |
| Tigor | Up to Rs 80,000 |
| Punch | Up to Rs 85,000 |
| Altroz | Up to Rs 1.10 lakh |
| Harrier | Up to Rs 1.40 lakh |
| Safari | Up to Rs 1.45 lakh |
| Nexon | Up to Rs 1.55 lakh |
variant-specific benefits have not been revealed yet
Tata’s best seller, Nexon, will attract the highest benefit of up to Rs 1.55 lakh, while the SUV coupe Curvv will witness a price reduction of up to Rs 65,000. Tata sells eight ICE cars, which come with either petrol, CNG or diesel engines, all of which have seen a GST drop.
The new GST slabs are set to make cars more affordable, with the maximum possible tax going from 50% to 40%. All ICE cars will slot into either 18% (small petrol and diesel cars) or 40% (larger vehicles in terms of size and engine). While the base tax on larger cars has gone up from 28% to 40%, the removal of cess reduces the price of four-wheelers. GST is included in the ex-showroom price, which you can now expect to drop by the above-stated numbers.

Tata sells six EVs, which include Harrier EV, Tigor EV, Nexon EV and Punch EV. As there is no tax revision for electric vehicles, these offerings will be priced the same, further widening the gap between conventional fuel and the cleaner alternative.
